Red Beach is located on the Indian ocean and it is in the 102th place out of 235 beaches in the Sri Lanka region 145.2 km away from its center, the city of Colombo. It is one of the beaches of Tangalle settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Red Beach is located in Sri Lanka within Tangalle, which makes it not only easily accessible, but even popular among tourists. However, during the high season it is quite uncrowded, which allows you to spend a comfortable time on the coast.
