Mihiripenna Beach is located on the Laccadive Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 31th place out of 235 beaches in the Sri Lanka region 113.8 km away from its center, the city of Colombo. It is one of the beaches of Talpe settlement, just 1.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

"This picturesque beach is located just a stone's throw away from Unuwatuna. The sunset view from here is truly breathtaking and the best part is that it hasn't been overrun by crowds yet.
