Migettuwaththa Beach is located on the Laccadive Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 226th place out of 235 beaches in the Sri Lanka region 76.5 km away from its center, the city of Colombo. It is one of the beaches of Balapitiya settlement, just 1.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright shell sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.
