Petrcane beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 26th place out of 216 beaches in the Zadar region 9 km away from its center, the city of Zadar. It is one of the beaches of Petrcane settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.
A significant part of the beach is occupied by beach clubs with limited access The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.
