The beach is well-maintained, resulting in its cleanliness and beauty. It exceeds expectations and the nighttime scenery is particularly enjoyable.

We opted to purchase our meals from the nearby food market and indulged in the freshly cooked delicacies on the shore. Our lunch was savored on a rented table and chairs, overlooking the serene Independence beach. The beach is an ideal spot for a family outing, with its pristine white sand and limited crowd. Besides, one can take a refreshing dip in the ocean waters. However, for couples seeking seclusion, it is better to explore a beach dedicated solely to swimming.

Unfortunately, this once-beautiful beach is no longer a suitable destination for backpackers or local Cambodians. It's disheartening to see the lack of beach shacks or restaurants that serve traditional Cambodian fare, and the absence of sun loungers or chairs. The beach front has been transformed by a plethora of empty new buildings and occupied Chinese restaurants, all with exorbitant prices. The area beyond the beach front is cluttered with dozens of unfinished tall buildings and heaps of rubbish. This beach now caters solely to wealthy Chinese tourists who come to indulge in a Casio Crawl. It's a pity that after visiting numerous beaches in Thailand, this one is a disappointment. Nevertheless, the beach still boasts stunning sunsets that are worth witnessing.

The sandy shores adjacent to the bridge offer a picturesque view of the Snake Island. The tranquil atmosphere and the gentle sound of the waves crashing onto the shore make it a perfect spot to unwind and bask in the glory of nature. The idyllic setting of the beach is nothing short of a paradise for those who seek solace in the lap of nature. The panoramic view of the island and the crystal-clear waters of the sea make it an ideal destination for a day out with family and friends.

The beach offers breathtaking sunset vistas that are sure to leave you in awe. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the convenience of free public restrooms available for use.
