This is not surprising, as relaxation is exactly what many beach travelers are looking for. If you associate your vacation primarily with such activity, choose one of the 8 beaches in the island.

To make your choice easier, we have prepared a list of the best beaches for relaxation in Bora Bora.

We visited in September 2023 with high expectations for a pleasant experience. The rooms were indeed nice and well-maintained. However, the food did not meet our expectations. The service provided was average, or even below average for a hotel of this caliber. On a positive note, the man-made reef provided an enjoyable snorkeling experience. However, the ferry schedule was quite confusing, making it difficult to determine when it would arrive and depart. We ended up waiting for a considerable amount of time for the ferry to bring us back to the hotel. Based on our experience, I don't think I will return to this island as it didn't offer anything particularly special. Instead, I plan to book an over-the-water bungalow in Mexico for my next trip.

What an amazing honeymoon experience! This island is perfect for a special birthday, anniversary, or honeymoon. The stunning barrier reef surrounding the island creates incredible ocean colors, the best snorkeling I've ever experienced, and the refreshing South Pacific Ocean breeze always seems to kick in at just the right moment. I highly recommend visiting in mid-October when it's less crowded. We stayed in a regular overwater king bungalow, which was absolutely beautiful, and the service was impeccable. A big thank you to the cleaning staff for their attention to detail and the thoughtful welcome back touches in our room. Everyone we encountered was friendly and patient, even though I don't speak much French. It's important to remember that the locals are the ones who make this place special, as they are sharing their tiny island with visitors. Special thanks to Damian, who shared interesting facts about Tahitian culture with us at the Sushi bar. In terms of food and activity prices, they were actually quite reasonable considering the remote location. It's worth noting that anything not caught or grown on the island has to be brought in by boat or plane. Thank you, Conrad Bora Bora, until we meet again. Māuruuru!

We were taken to a gorgeous private island as part of a star gazing tour, and the sunset views were absolutely breathtaking. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. They arranged comfortable lounge chairs around a sandbox, which was used to illustrate a map. This map provided a detailed explanation of how people traveled between islands and showcased the rich Polynesian culture. The tour was truly amazing and I highly recommend it.

The white fine sand adds to the beauty of this beach, making it a must-visit destination. Highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil getaway.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 4 beaches in the island, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.

The hottest month of the island is March - air temperature during this time warms up to 28.9°C and water up to 29.5°C. The coldest month is September - air temperature drops to 26.1°C and water to 27.1°C. Air and water temperature allows you to relax comfortably in the island all year round, which is enjoyed by tourists and locals.
