About Crotone

At first glance, the diversity of the beaches of the Crotone does not have a prominent distinctive feature. There is no clear predominance of mountain landscapes or crystal sea, on the contrary, everything seems balanced. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the flow of tourists continues to grow from year to year.

We noticed the seafood spaghetti at the table next to us and decided to order it as well. However, we were disappointed to see that our meal seemed to be just one portion split into two. There were only two mussels and one shrimp, and the amount of spaghetti was not enough. After spending 32 euros on two spaghetti dishes and two drinks, we were still hungry.

While touring Italy and staying at various places, we stumbled upon the Melissa Hotel on our way to another prebooked destination. I regret not being able to stay longer at the Melissa, as the room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a balcony with a stunning view of the beach right outside the hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed a delicious meal at the hotel that evening - the best we had on our trip so far. The price was very reasonable, and we were disappointed to leave for our previously booked accommodation. I highly recommend the Melissa Hotel. Excellent experience.

The beach is truly unforgettable and comes highly recommended. It boasts a stunning shoreline, offering a perfect blend of fun and tranquility.

Santa Cristina beach

This beach is absolutely amazing! It has beautiful red sand, lush vegetation, and even clay that can be used for skin treatment. Surprisingly, we can still enjoy swimming here even in late September. It truly feels like a paradise!

The food took a long time to arrive, with the pizzas taking almost an hour and the salad being served without dressing. The waiter who brought the oily condiments complained about the poor service and the head nurse was inconsistent in her statements. Despite the small portion sizes for the price, the food was excellent. However, the service was lacking and the €5.50 discount at the end was not helpful. It's disappointing to have experienced this, and it seems like others have had similar experiences in the past.
