Calm, measured rest and the sound of waves are perhaps the most common associations that arise with the word "beach". This is not surprising, as relaxation is exactly what many beach travelers are looking for. If you associate your vacation primarily with such activity, choose one of the 6 beaches in the country.
To make your choice easier, we have prepared a list of the best beaches for relaxation in Kazakhstan.
As for the main features of the beaches of Kazakhstan, they are as follows:
Wild beaches with no infrastructure dominate the coastline of Kazakhstan however, even here you can find a beach with a standard set of accessories: sun beds, umbrellas, restaurants, showers and toilets.
This is the worst resort I have ever been to, so I highly recommend avoiding it if you can!
This beach is exceptional as it is exclusive to a select few, allowing for a serene and peaceful atmosphere to unwind. The lagoon is delightful and the grotto is simply stunning. The beach is also a great place to give your feet a soothing massage, but do remember to bring flip flops as the ground is composed of shells instead of sand. Additionally, there are amenities available on site and catamarans can be rented from local fishermen.
This beach may not be suitable for children as there are no easily accessible drinking water dispensers for them and the dining options are not very satisfactory.
This beach is a great spot to spend a relaxing day, located about 25 km from Aktau. The entrance fee is reasonable and the amenities include parking, sun loungers, umbrellas, a cafe, and even a sandy football field. The toilet facilities are also decent. However, the plastic sunbeds are in poor condition with many of them broken or unable to support a sitting position. Additionally, power outages can occur which limits the availability of certain menu items in the beach cafe. Despite these setbacks, there are several barbecues available for use under a sheltered area. The sand on the beach is littered with shells, both whole and crushed. Overall, we enjoyed our time here, despite the few issues we encountered.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the beach. The Teremok complex offered impeccably clean and well-maintained accommodations surrounded by lush greenery. The water trampolines and playground kept children entertained, and the evening disco was a fun way to unwind. Conveniently, payment by card was accepted. However, there were a few downsides. Not all toilets were stocked with toilet paper, and ants were present in some of the rooms. Additionally, waiters at the cafe were often overwhelmed during lunch hours and struggled to keep up with orders.
Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
Do you know how many beaches there are in Kazakhstan? In total there are 6 beaches and the most popular is Tree of Life Resort.
