Friday Beach

This charming location is truly a delightful spot to be.

Boracay Beach

This was my first time back at the beach since Boracay underwent renewal, and I was pleased to find the beachfront very clean and perfect for swimming and taking leisurely walks. Watching the sunset in the evening was a beautiful experience. There were plenty of activities available, such as parasailing, helmet diving, and regular diving. However, I felt like it had lost some of its charm since restaurants, music, fire dancers, and other shows are no longer allowed on the beach. In the past, it was one of my favorite experiences to sit on the beach, have a late dinner or drink, and listen to the bands or watch the fire dancers. It's a bit sad that this is no longer possible, but I think it could be allowed if they implemented rules and checked that they were being followed. Despite this, it's still a great place to relax and unwind.

Diniwid Beach

The beach is absolutely stunning, with its crystal-clear waters and pristine sand. To reach it, we opted for a tricycle ride, as the slope was fairly gentle. However, if you're up for a bit of exercise, you can always take the extra steps. The beach offers a picturesque setting, perfect for capturing some amazing photos, and the food served here is simply divine. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

Puka Shell Beach

This beach is truly wonderful, with a very unique sand that sets it apart. It's definitely worth making the journey from the main stations to experience it.

Iligan Beach

This serene beach lies on the opposite end of the island and is a haven for those seeking tranquility. Unlike the bustling white beach, this secluded spot is devoid of foreign tourists and offers a peaceful escape from the crowds and noise. It takes approximately 50 minutes to reach the beach on a tricycle, and the driver charges around P500 per hour as they wait for you to explore the shore. There are no other means of transportation to take you back, so plan accordingly. The beach is not crowded, and you'll only spot a couple of hotels in the vicinity. However, you can avail yourself of inter-island tours on the dozen or so "Bangkas" or small canoe boats present on the shore. Although the sand is similar to the other side, the water is slightly deeper, but the good news is that the sea is calmer, with no big waves. Vendors offer free use of mats, but you'll have to purchase coconut juice or soft drinks, which can be a tad expensive.

White Beach

The beach offers of its crystal-clear waters that shimmer under the sun. However, the presence of algae gives the water a greenish hue, which can be seen especially during the months of January. For a better experience, it is advisable to visit from November to December. The sunset view is simply breathtaking and is a must-see for everyone. Moreover, the beach offers a wide range of water activities that do not require prior arrangements from travel agents.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 7 beaches in the island, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
