Nilwella - all beaches

This beach is one of the best ones you'll find between Tangalle and Dikwella. The ocean is usually calm, and there are no hazardous areas on the beach, although it's important to be cautious around the rocks. There is a specific spot where you can see some stones and waves crashing. Additionally, the beach has a few great beach-bars and restaurants, and the parking situation is good, although space is limited.

The beach for surfing is truly remarkable. It is immaculately clean and offers affordable prices. The picturesque view is simply unbeatable. As a first-time surfer, I was fortunate to have a coach who, despite being a young kid, was incredibly skilled and helped us learn quickly. The king coconuts were also a delightful treat.

Upon arriving at the beach, I noticed it was quite secluded and there weren't many foreign visitors. The selection of restaurants on the beach was limited and pricey for locals. Nevertheless, the beach itself was stunning and unspoiled.

The beach is a serene and picturesque destination, perfect for those seeking a tranquil retreat. However, it is not recommended for surfing due to the strong currents and waves. Additionally, swimming may not be the most appealing activity here. Nevertheless, the beach boasts crystal clear waters and is ideal for a refreshing jog or a leisurely stroll during sunset. The pristine environment is also worth mentioning, as it is well-maintained and free of litter.

This island is absolutely stunning, with crystal blue waters surrounding it. It's the perfect spot for camping, but be cautious when swimming. It's not too far from the main road, and vehicles can get close, although the parking area is quite small.

This beach is definitely among the top-rated in the vicinity. The shoreline is adorned with numerous palm trees, and there are a handful of coaches with umbrellas to provide some shade. Although the ocean may be a tad choppy, the overall atmosphere is absolutely delightful.
