Vratarusa is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 14th place out of 70 beaches in the Lika-Senj region 65.9 km away from its center, the city of Gospic. It is one of the beaches of Bunica settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Vratarusa coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .
