Wild beaches with no infrastructure dominate the coastline of Australia however, even here you can find a beach with a standard set of accessories: sun beds, umbrellas, restaurants, showers and toilets.
This beach is located right next to the town center and it is incredibly popular. Even at 10:30 am, it was a real challenge to find a parking spot. However, once we managed to park the car, we were greeted by a truly fantastic beach. It offers something for everyone, whether you're a surfer, swimmer, walker, or just looking to unwind. The water was still pleasantly warm and the panoramic views were absolutely delightful.
Turquoise Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Western Australia, offers an ideal setting to unwind, swim, and indulge in snorkeling throughout the day.
This beach is a great place to let your dog run around. It offers beautiful scenery and you can walk a long distance along the beach and over the rocks. There is plenty of open space and you can have picnics or take a quick lunch break on the benches near the carpark. However, there are limited facilities and no toilets available.
Watch out for parking. We received a fine for parking on a side street near the parking lot because all the spaces were taken. It's disappointing to drive 15 minutes on a gravel road only to find no available parking spots. We safely parked our car on a side street with other drivers and ended up getting fined. They really need to ensure there are enough parking spots in this situation. However, the beach itself is stunning!
This beach is absolutely incredible, one of the best I've ever visited. Depending on the tide, you can walk out more than 100 meters into the ocean. However, it's important to be cautious of crocodiles, and I'm not joking about it!
Wow, this beach is a must-visit for everyone! We decided to come early in order to have a more peaceful experience observing the rays, but unfortunately, we didn't spot any. However, I wasn't really expecting to see them, so we simply took a stroll along the beach. At around 9:00 am, we finally caught sight of the first rays gracefully gliding through the water. They were absolutely stunning and surprisingly friendly! If you remain still and calm, they will swim right by your feet.
Please note that lifeguards supervise 253 beaches in the country, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!
Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
