It's a fantastic experience to drive on the beach, although a 4WD is necessary. The distance from the road to the beach is quite short. The shallow water levels are perfect for young children to swim and play.
The track down to the beach is only accessible by 4WD vehicles. The beach itself is quite pleasant.
If you're doing the Cape to Cape walk, you'll have plenty of chances to experience the stunning beauty of beaches like Kilcarnup up close. The walk involves a lot of walking on sand, both on the beaches and off. While some beaches are flat and easy to navigate, others are a bit more challenging with short and steep sections that can be a bit tiring.
The beach was easily accessible by 4WD vehicles, and we didn't have to lower the tire pressure or engage low range. There were only three other 4WD vehicles on the pristine and sheltered beach, which stretched for about 200 meters.
This beach is a hidden gem that my local friend introduced me to. He gave us a ride there in his 4WD and was confident that only locals knew about this place. The journey to the beach was a bit rough, but I believe it will be worth it for snorkeling. I had the incredible experience of encountering a stingray for the first time in my life and swimming alongside it, which was absolutely surreal and unforgettable for me!
