Playa Herradura is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 126th place out of 233 beaches in the Costa Rica region 71 km away from its center, the city of San Jose. It is one of the beaches of Puerto Escondido settlement, just 1.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and gray sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Playa Herradura coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

Playa Herradura is located in Costa Rica within Puerto Escondido, which makes it not only easily accessible, but even popular among tourists. However, during the high season it is quite uncrowded, which allows you to spend a comfortable time on the coast.

The beach stretches on the sunny coast, within the boundaries of the settlement, it is not difficult to get to it. If your stay is located not far from the beach, you can reach it by walking. In this case you will not be tied to finding parking or to the schedule of public transport. If you are traveling by car just use your navigator. In any case, do not forget about the availability of public transport and taxis.

"The beach has gray sand and pebbles, and is situated in an excellent location close to Jaco. It's a peaceful spot, not ideal for surfing, but perfect for those seeking a more tranquil experience. The view is lovely, and there are a few restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Additionally, parking is available near the beach."

"The beach has gray sand with pebbles, and it's a great spot for families with children as the sea is calm. During our visit, we noticed that everyone was having a good time as a family. However, we did feel that the beach could use more security as we didn't see any police presence during our stay."
