Papias beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 100th place out of 185 beaches in the Thrace region 70.8 km away from its center, the city of Komotini. It is one of the beaches of Thassos settlement, just 1.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and white sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth.
