Petalidi beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 9th place out of 398 beaches in the Northern Aegean region 12.7 km away from its center, the city of Mytilene. It is one of the beaches of Agios Georgios settlement, just 1.5 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.
