Calangute Beach is located on the Arabian Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 36th place out of 71 beaches in the Goa region 55.1 km away from its center, the city of Sanguem. It is one of the beaches of Dongarpur settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Calangute Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

"The spot in Goa is the busiest spot, but it's also a fun place with plenty of water sports activities and a stunning golden sand beach. Watching the sunset from here is truly breathtaking. However, there is a shortage of public restrooms, which is a definite downside. On the bright side, for those who enjoy a cold beer, the prices are very reasonable."
