Fornillo Beach is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 45th place out of 141 beaches in the Salerno region 24.2 km away from its center, the city of Salerno. It is one of the beaches of Positano settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a straight coastline with crystal blue water and gray fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.
Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.
