Sottobomba Beach is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 37th place out of 183 beaches in the Livorno region 81.3 km away from its center, the city of Livorno. It is one of the beaches of Portoferraio settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.
It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and white pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.
