Heungnam Beach is located on the Sea of Japan (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 15th place out of 27 beaches in the South Gyeongsang region 89.4 km away from its center, the city of Hadong-eup. It is one of the beaches of Sibang settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

"Even during bad weather, people are still surfing and enjoying the water at the beach, which is set to open on June 27th. I'm not sure if there is an adjacent auto camping site, but the parking area seems to be limited. The descent from Seomok Village is quite steep, but the route towards Heungnam Village is smoother."
