It is one of the beaches of San Juan del Sur settlement, just 2.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a long bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth.
