Damas Beach (Colon) is located outside the Nombre de Dios settlement, which may cause some difficulties for travelers who stay far from the coast. However, the remoteness from the village is not always a bad thing. Lovers of quiet rest know, the farther the beach, the fewer crowds.

The beach stretches on the sunny coast and the correct question is not how to get to Damas Beach, but what mode of transport can be used to get to it, because this part of the coast is inaccessible by land. The beach can only be reached by water and you have to rent a boat to get there.

"Nombre de Dios is a great destination to visit, with plenty of eateries nearby and a small hostel. It is steeped in African tradition, and during Carnival and Holy Week, the town comes together to enjoy music and dancing. After Sir Francis Drake's attack, the population was relocated to Portobelo in 1570, leaving Nombre de Dios abandoned."

"We had been looking for Palenque beach when we stumbled upon this place, which was only a 5-minute boat ride away. It cost us $6 to get there, and there was a small hut selling ceviche, fish, and other dishes. It was a really great spot."
