Cala Gran is located on the Balearic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 139th place out of 369 beaches in the Balearic Islands region 54.7 km away from its center, the city of Palma. It is one of the beaches of Cala d'Or settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

Cala Gran coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

"The beach is a lovely cove where you can rent pedalos and sunbeds with an umbrella for €17 all day, which is quite reasonable. However, it does tend to get crowded. Keep an eye out for the fruit vendor who sings a catchy song. The watermelon he sells for €5 at the end of the day is absolutely delicious."
