Liencres Beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 42th place out of 49 beaches in the Cantabria region 12.9 km away from its center, the city of Santander. It is one of the beaches of Mogro settlement, just 2.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.
It is a long lasting coastline with crystal blue water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

The parking area can get a bit crowded with surfers, and early mornings can be busy with dog walkers and their barking, but there's plenty of parking and a restaurant (that was closed when I visited).
