Mar do Norte Beach is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 234th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 148.2 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Macae settlement, just 11.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth.
