Praia das Nereidas is located on the Patos lagoon and it is in the 34th place out of 89 beaches in the Rio Grande do Sul region 164.6 km away from its center, the city of Porto Alegre. It is one of the beaches of Sao Lourenco do Sul settlement, just 2.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
