Karasu boasts an extensive coastline with a variety of beach options. Along the coast, you can find both paid beaches and free public beaches that are owned by the municipality. Additionally, there are renowned chain markets situated along the beach. Brace yourself for the typical lively atmosphere of the Black Sea region. While the presence of breakers adds a certain level of comfort, it's important to note that the beach experience may not be as luxurious as lying on a soft sheet.

Being a typical characteristic of the Black Sea, there are ample waves present, yet the water doesn't become deep right away, making it ideal for families with kids.

Everything was wonderful, however, the lack of changing rooms meant we had to resort to using the restroom for changing. Additionally, there was a noticeable absence of chairs and showers. Surprisingly, there was a fee of 3 lira per person just to access the toilets. The ocean had quite strong waves, which unfortunately limited our ability to swim. Furthermore, it seemed that only families were allowed to enter the water, as individuals were not permitted to swim alone.

The beach and the ocean are incredibly beautiful, but unfortunately, the beach is littered with cigarette butts and plastic bottles. Even animals seem to be more responsible with their waste than some humans who can't be bothered to carry a small bag and dispose of their trash properly. Some people have suggested that the municipality should take more responsibility for cleanliness, but instead of blaming the municipality, we should focus on those individuals who are not behaving responsibly. Cleaning up this mess won't happen overnight, but it can be addressed by implementing regular inspections and issuing fines. Every time I visit the beach, I make sure to hold those responsible accountable, and I hope they feel the weight of their actions and lose sleep over it.
