Glencallum Bay Beach is located on the Firth Of Clyde and it is in the 26th place out of 33 beaches in the Argyll and Bute region The beach is located in a natural place, surrounded by the cliffs.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and gray sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers, pet owners etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.
Glencallum Bay Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail more than 1km long. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

The beach has a sandy and rocky covering of gray color. It's very clean, the surface has a mixed fraction. Turquoise and clear water sparkles in the sun. The entrance to the water is a mixture of sand and rocks, so it is highly recommended to wear aqua shoes.
For the main activity - sunbathing, there are no sun loungers on the Glencallum Bay Beach, so you need to take personal items with you and there is no natural shade, so be careful on a hot day.
The entrance to the water is gentle, the bottom is a bit rocky, so it is recommended to wear aqua shoes. The prevalence of sharks in the area is low.
Glencallum Bay Beach does not have a wave-protected swimming area, but there are usually no strong waves during the season. The tides are high, so sometimes you have to cross several meters to get to the water.
