La Grande Greve is located on the English Channel and it is in the 28th place out of 35 beaches in the Guernsey region 13.1 km away from its center, the city of Saint Peter Port. It is one of the beaches of Sark settlement, just 1.7 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.
It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.
La Grande Greve coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, toilets. .

La Grande Greve has a gray sand and pebble cover. It's very clean, the surface has a mixed fraction. Turquoise and clear water sparkles in the sun. The entrance to the water is sandy, which makes it very comfortable.
For the main activity - sunbathing, there are no sun loungers on the La Grande Greve, so you need to take personal items with you and there is no natural shade, so be careful on a hot day.
The entrance to the water is very smooth, the bottom is a bit rocky, so it is recommended to wear aqua shoes. The prevalence of sharks in the area is low.
La Grande Greve does not have a wave-protected swimming area, but there are usually no strong waves during the season. The tides are high, so sometimes you have to cross several meters to get to the water.
There are few boats in the bay. So the overall recommendation of the La Grande Greve for swimming is positive.
