As a child, my family and I spent many vacations at AB, the beach of my youth. It was always a peaceful and tranquil place, but now it seems to be more deserted, especially at night due to the increased risk of robbery in the surrounding area. Although there are still some well-maintained homes, many properties have been abandoned or put up for sale without access to running water, relying solely on cisterns, water trucks, or wells. The unsightly shacks that line the beach detract from its aesthetic beauty. It is my hope that local officials will prioritize the needs of their residents beyond election season. Despite these challenges, AB remains an excellent destination for restful family vacations, with the caveat that extra precautions should be taken to ensure safety. Let us remain hopeful for brighter days ahead. 🙏🏼
