Trindade's ocean beaches offer a different experience compared to the bay beaches in Paraty. They are ideal for surfing, but can be dangerous for inexperienced swimmers and children. It's important to note that drinking and swimming should never be combined, especially in Trindade. However, if you're a surfer or hiker looking for stunning views, a short trip to Trindade (just 10 miles from Paraty) is a must. The first beaches you'll encounter are Cepilho, Fora, and Rancho. At the end of Middle Beach, a brief hike will take you to Steel Box Beach, which is less crowded and has a fantastic beachside restaurant called Casa Caiçara. However, it's best to visit after returning from the natural pool, which requires a 30-minute hike through a moderately challenging forest trail (proper footwear is recommended). Don't forget to stop by Restaurante Quilombo do Campinho on your way back for a delicious meal.
We found this beach to be a tropical paradise with stunning views and tranquil waters. We indulged in some mouth-watering, freshly shucked oysters on the sand and also enjoyed a meal at a restaurant overlooking the water. Overall, this was our favorite beach during our stay in Paraty.
An idyllic location for relaxation, this beach offers a serene atmosphere due to its relatively secluded access. The peacefulness of the area is enhanced by the absence of crowds, making it an ideal spot to unwind and recharge.
