This place is absolutely stunning! The natural beauty here is well-preserved and vibrant. You'll also find a few traditional caiçara houses in the area.

This beach can only be reached by trail from Praia do Sono and is quite secluded. There are some creeks that flow into the beach and plenty of shaded areas to relax in. The waves can be quite strong, so I would only recommend it for sunbathing. It's important to note that since it's not a popular spot, swimming can be dangerous without anyone around to help. Additionally, camping is not allowed on the beach as it is part of the Joatinga Reserve.

Calhaus Beach

This charming fishing village boasts one of the most breathtaking corners in the world, where visitors are greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Although the infrastructure may be minimal, the beauty and tranquility of this small beach make it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful escape. Amateur divers will find the crystal-clear waters perfect for exploring the underwater world, while Bar do Chico offers delicious snacks and meals, with the added convenience of accepting credit cards. Overall, this quiet and picturesque beach is a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

What a stunning beach! I decided to take the bus from Paraty's central station to Vila Oratorio, and from there, the hike began. The signs were clear, and after about an hour of walking, I reached Praia do Sono. Although the path was hot and undulating, it was well worth the effort. I must admit that some parts of the trail were slippery, and I was warned to be cautious of snakes, spiders, and scorpions. I even came across a dead snake on the path. I stopped for lunch at the only open restaurant, and it was surprisingly delicious. I suspect that the low season might have something to do with the limited options, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the shore during peak season. There are also camping sites available, which is an excellent choice for those who want to stay longer and explore nearby beaches. For the more adventurous, there is a five-night hike, where you camp along the way and bring
