My 2.5 week stay in Montezuma during October 2019 was nothing short of enchanting. This charming village boasts of friendly locals who are always ready to lend a helping hand. The small community is home to skilled artisans who line the streets, showcasing their craft. The sense of togetherness is palpable, with everyone eager to assist each other. I made it a daily ritual to indulge in the delectable ice cream parlor, a true highlight of my trip. The beach is nothing short of stunning, with pristine waters and soft sand. The turtle conservation center located here is a true gem. I was fortunate enough to volunteer at the center and was blown away by their dedication to keeping the community clean. From the school grounds to the football field and the beach, they left no stone unturned. The beach is definitely worth a visit as it is easily accessible and offers a heavenly experience. No need to exert much effort to reach this beautiful destination.

During our stay in Montezuma, we made it a habit to hike out to this beach on a regular basis. The beach boasts of its golden sand, which adds to its charm and beauty.

Wow, this place is absolutely stunning. It's incredible how the river merges with the ocean, offering the choice between swimming in fresh or salt water. If you take a short walk up the river, you'll come across a small waterfall with large rocks that you can jump off into a deep pool. From there, you can enjoy the breathtaking sight of the sunrise peeking through the trees. We decided to spend the night on the beach and eagerly awaited the sunrise, which was accompanied by playful dogs frolicking on the shore. I was so enamored with this place that I found myself coming here almost every day during my stay. It's not overly crowded, and there are plenty of logs scattered around where you can set up for the day. I often find myself daydreaming about being back here.
