This beach is often referred to as little Hawaii, though we were unsure of the reason behind the nickname. It can be challenging to enter the beach due to the rocky terrain. Access to the beach is through Lola's restaurant, which is indicated on the map as being accessible via Hacienda Pinilla. It is necessary to call in advance and make a reservation. I believe they charge $35 per person for the day use of the Hacienda Pinilla beach bar. However, we did not visit it as we accessed the beach through Lola's restaurant. The road leading to the beach is rough, but it seems that most beach accesses on this side of the coast are in poor condition.

The beach was a blast! They offered horseback riding, beachside massages, and surf lessons. There were also some great restaurants to enjoy. The water was warm, the waves were gentle, and the sand was smooth with hardly any rocks. I'm already counting down the days until I can return.

Playa Blanca

This beach is truly magnificent, with its soft and powdery sand that boasts a pristine white hue, unlike any other beach in the vicinity. The sand is also adorned with tiny seashells, adding to its natural beauty. It took us a leisurely 17-minute stroll from Playa Negra beach to reach this gem, but be sure to wear swim or tennis shoes as there are rocky patches along the way. For our return trip, we opted to take a different route, climbing up a path to the road and walking halfway before cutting back down to the beach once we were past the rocky terrain. I cannot recommend this beach enough - it is a must-visit for anyone looking for a serene and picturesque getaway.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Costa Rica beach, where we had the opportunity to ride some stunning horses. It's worth mentioning that the beach has free public entry, which is great for those on a budget.

Playa Langosta

This beach is really lovely. It's a lot more peaceful compared to the one in Tamarindo, and it has stunning sandy areas and shaded spots beneath the trees. The ocean here is a bit rough and has rocks, but there's enough room for wading.
