Coral Bay has been a disappointment as there are no visible corals, only a few marine creatures. While the view from the cliffs is undoubtedly stunning, the name "Coral Bay" suggests that there should be more coral formations to explore. To make matters worse, the majority of the public beach is taken up by individuals who charge for sunbeds, leaving little space for those who want to enjoy the beach for free. It's frustrating that even though the beach is technically free, visitors are forced to either pay or squeeze into the small area that isn't occupied by the sunbed vendors.
The beach has a ton of plastic waste scattered all over, but it's worth noting that the sand is a unique shade of brown.
The view from the drive past the beach is absolutely stunning, but it's important to note that the road leading there is quite rough and bumpy. However, we were able to make the journey in our WV Golf without any issues. It's no surprise that there are plenty of rental cars making the trip, as the beach is definitely worth the effort.
There is a small playground near the beach that seems to be closed most of the time for no apparent reason, which is disappointing for children.
This beach is a stunning hidden gem, with its pristine waters and sandy shores. It offers ample parking space for cars, and you can easily rent sun beds for a few euros. Additionally, there is a cozy snack bar and coffee shop located just a short distance from the beach. The views are magnificent, and convenient restroom facilities are also available on site.
