The beach spans an impressive 10km and we strolled along its entirety, taking in the lovely scenery. Despite being August, the beach wasn't overly crowded, with more locals than tourists. The traditional tavernas added to the charm, giving us a sense of stepping back in time. However, it was disheartening to see many bars empty on a sunny high season afternoon. This place deserves more tourism and we hope people return soon. This must be the longest stretch of beach in Lesvos and most bars offer free beds and umbrellas. There are also a couple of supermarkets along the beach for snacks and cold drinks. Parking is a breeze, with plenty of shaded spots along the beach-side. Unfortunately, the July 2022 wildfire left some damage to the trees to the far left of the beach past Arena nightclub. Despite this, the beach remains a beautiful and peaceful spot to spend a day.
This serene and picturesque beach, located just beyond Plomari, boasts complimentary sunbeds and umbrellas courtesy of the three nearby taverns. The water is exceptionally clear, though the only downside is the presence of stones. However, the tavernas have ingeniously created a sandbag pathway to the water's edge. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing swim, a sweet treat, or a delicious seafood meal, everything you desire is within arm's reach, right beside the tranquil sea.
We have been visiting Thalassa for more than 5 years now. It has consistently been a popular spot with amazing cocktails crafted by Yannis. Their menu offers a delightful blend of Greek and international cuisine, ensuring that there is something delicious for everyone. The service provided by the servers, particularly Aspa, has always been exceptional. She is an absolute sweetheart and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thalassa is a wonderful family-owned establishment that exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere. We absolutely adore Thalassa.
This stunning beach boasts crystal clear waters that are a common sight among the beaches in the surrounding area. It's a great spot to unwind and relax while enjoying the scenery. Additionally, the beach offers free sunbeds and umbrellas to visitors who purchase something from the nearby bar or café. Their menu is limited to toast with ham and cheese and chips, but you can quench your thirst with freshly pressed juice, coffee, or indulge in a sweet treat with their selection of ice creams.
