Spiaggia visitata in agosto 2023.

Mesa Pigadia beach

This secluded black sand beach may be a bit of a challenge to locate, but the journey is well worth it. Accessible via a rugged dirt road or by boat, the journey to this hidden gem is an adventure in itself. A small fee of 10 euros will secure your spot on the beach, where you can bask in the sun and take in the stunning views of the Aegean Sea. When you're ready for refreshments, head over to the nearby Mesa Pigadia Taverna where you can enjoy a cool drink while taking in the serene surroundings.

The island boasts of breathtaking scenery that is just a three-hour flight away from Paris. The commute from the airport to the city center is affordable, with the option of taking a bus or taxi. The picturesque landscape is reminiscent of those seen in postcards, with blue skies and crystal-clear waters complemented by charming blue-roofed churches. However, the island is a popular tourist destination, and as such, it tends to attract large crowds. While the local shops, vendors, and restaurant staff may not be the friendliest, it could be due to the overwhelming number of tourists they encounter daily.

The sandy shore is a sight to behold, with its breathtaking beauty that leaves one in awe. However, the beach bar's exorbitant charge of 40 euros for an umbrella rental is an anomaly even for the stunning island of Santorini.

Stumbled upon a serene and secluded section of the beach, away from the bustling crowds. Although the terrain was slightly rugged with scattered rocks, the tranquil waters and peaceful atmosphere made up for it.
