Koufonisi - all beaches

When you step foot on the island, the beach you encounter perfectly embodies the essence of the entire place - exotic and alluring. I would give every single beach in Ano Koufonisia a five-star rating because each one surpasses the next in beauty and charm.

The beach is truly breathtaking and the sand is unlike any other you'll come across. Although the path leading to the beach may be a bit elusive, the end result is well worth the effort.

We decided to visit the beach during the off-season, as it was one of the destinations we didn't want to miss out on. Despite the long drive of 1.5 hours from Chora, the scenic beauty was worth it. The beach can be accessed by a small rocky dirt road, and once you park your vehicle, a short walk down takes you to the shore. We spent some time clicking pictures and feeling the chilly water before leaving. The beach was extremely quiet during the off-season, and we were the only ones there. Nevertheless, it is a must-visit spot if you have the time.

In my opinion, Italida stands out as the most exceptional beach in Koufunissi. It is conveniently accessible by foot or water taxi, which costs a reasonable 5€ for the whole day and departs from the port. The beach boasts a slightly larger size than Finikas and Fanos, offering ample space to relax and soak up the sun.

The beaches at Koufonisia were truly breathtaking, exceeding all expectations. The photos simply do not do them justice. Having visited numerous stunning islands and beaches, I can confidently say that nothing compares to the sheer beauty of Koufonisia's beaches.

Undoubtedly, Schinoussa boasts of the most splendid beach that is unparalleled in beauty. The serene ambiance and the vibrant hues of the beach make it an idyllic spot for a perfect getaway. Unlike other touristy beaches, Schinoussa's beach is not overcrowded, making it an authentic Greek experience. This island is a hidden gem that has not yet succumbed to commercialization. My visit to this beach will always be etched in my memory. Additionally, I highly recommend visiting To Petrinos, the best taverna in Schinoussa, which is conveniently located just 400m away. Don't miss out on this incredible experience!
