This particular beach on the island is undoubtedly one of the finest, and reaching it is quite effortless. The presence of trees offers a comfortable spot to relax in the shade, but for those who prefer the sun, there's a beach bar that provides umbrellas and sun beds.

We didn't get to explore the island much due to a heatwave and having a small child with us, so we stayed in Merichas. However, we made sure to spend our evenings at Martinakia beach, which was perfect for snorkeling and watching the sunset. We even brought our own food and had a picnic on the beach, which was really enjoyable.

The beach is fantastic, but it tends to be peaceful since not many people visit it, especially families. However, reaching the beach can be challenging due to the narrow and unpaved road. Once you arrive, parking is a breeze, but you will need to take a five-minute stroll through a small forest to get to the beach.

This beach on Kythnos is undoubtedly one of the finest, if not the finest. The water is crystal clear and boasts a stunning array of colors. It is a natural beach with no amenities, yet it is ideal for snorkeling. During our visit, the beach was incredibly peaceful, perhaps due in part to the road's quality and limited parking. The beach is featured on the main road sign at the Kanala junction, but the turnoff for this beach, which is several kilometers away, is not marked. The turn is located next to a sign for an EU-funded solar panel site, just to the left of the turn. The last two kilometers of the road are a bumpy dirt track, but it is passable with care in a typical vehicle. The beach is unquestionably worth the effort to get there.
