Pleasant bay and beach full of families with children screaming at the top of their lungs. The water is affected by the many moored boats.

This beach in Lefkada is unparalleled in its amenities, boasting everything from showers and toilets to bars and restaurants, as well as pools and clubs for those seeking a more lively atmosphere. It's easily accessible and even offers parking for added convenience. However, depending on the neighbors, it can become quite crowded and noisy. When the sea is calm, it's a great spot for families with children, but when the waves pick up, even adults may find it challenging. During our stay, we opted for the Soul beach club, which provided comfortable new chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable €20 fee, as well as shaded parking for customers. While you're welcome to bring your own drinks, the club also offers a range of beverages to choose from. For those seeking a bit more privacy, the left corner of the beach is a great option, with plenty of space for umbrellas and a fantastic restaurant, Akrogiali, serving up some of the best food on the beach. While water shoes are recommended, it's still manageable if you forget them.

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at the beach. Let's start with the taverna - the food was delicious, reasonably priced, and offered a good variety. The staff were friendly and created a nice atmosphere. The accommodation met our needs, and we were happy to have a fridge and kettle. The beach equipment was in good condition, and despite my initial concerns about it being busy, there were no issues. The beach staff were fantastic. Nikiana is a lovely area with plenty of nice dining options, and I am already looking forward to returning.

We stayed at this beach in 2014 when it was called Alexandros and I can still vividly recall the unpleasant rooms, odors, and overall atmosphere as if it happened yesterday. The reception area appeared nice, but we were given a basement room with a view of vegetation instead of the sea view we had booked and paid for. The room was small, smelly, with a tiny bathroom and watery liquid soap. The plumbing was noisy and disturbing whenever a neighbor used water, and the walls seemed thin as we could hear every noise from neighboring rooms. After speaking with the receptionist in the middle of the night (who was kind), we were moved to a slightly better room on the first floor, but it was still old and worn out, with the same plumbing issues and an infestation of mosquitoes. There was even a dead cockroach hanging from a light bulb, and the ceiling was painted a dark red color. After a difficult night, we were finally given a nice, clean, and modern room on the second floor. The room problems could have been overlooked if the lady we spoke to the next day, who I assume was the manager, had been polite and accommodating. Unfortunately, she was bossy, arrogant, and treated us poorly. We decided to leave a day early. It's disappointing that a hotel with a great location, parking, pool, and private beach is managed so poorly. During our recent visit to Lefkada, we stayed at Christina Studios and Avra Hotel in Ligia, which offered excellent hospitality, cleanliness, breakfast, and overall conditions at a similar price point to Alexandros in 2014. The island and towns were lovely.

Undoubtedly, this beach is one of the most picturesque ones in Lefkada. Upon leaving the parking lot, which costs 7 Euro, you will come across a plethora of large stones. However, as you venture further south, you will be rewarded with a stunningly expansive sandy beach, complete with sizable waves. Regrettably, I cannot bestow a 5-star rating due to the less-than-ideal accessibility. The narrow road took us an entire hour to traverse the 15km distance. Additionally, the biggest issue was the tendency for individuals to attempt to avoid the parking fee, resulting in cars being left on the road and making it quite challenging to reach the beach. Nevertheless, I would certainly return to witness its beauty once more.
