Plaka Beach

This beach is not recommended due to the terrible customer service we received from the aggressive and rude manager. Despite wanting to spend money on sunbeds, an umbrella, drinks, snacks, and dinner at the tavern, we were met with hostility for simply asking questions and expressing our dissatisfaction with his behavior. The manager was uninterested in hearing our reasons for being there and instead focused on getting as much money as possible or kicking us out. Additionally, the beach is far from the city center and more expensive than advertised.

There's a fantastic beach bar/cafe within walking distance from our hotel, Aqua Bay Suites. It's exceptionally clean, and the staff are all incredibly friendly.

This beach is just like any other - boring, uneventful, and overrated. The water may be clean, but who cares? There's nothing interesting to see or do. And don't even get me started on the sand and rocks underneath - what a waste of space. As for the local restaurants, sure they're high quality, but at what cost? Overpriced and underwhelming, just like everything else here. Save your time and money, folks. This beach is a snooze fest.

To be clear, this location lacks a traditional beach, as there is no paralia to be found. Instead, the shoreline is lined with hotels, which are situated so close to the water that they are unable to offer their guests beachfront access. As a result, many of these establishments have constructed pools for their patrons to enjoy. Unfortunately, access to these pools is often restricted to hotel guests only, leaving non-guests with limited options for aquatic relaxation. For those who do manage to access the small stretch of rock and sand that passes for a beach here, the experience is less than ideal. The water is noticeably saltier than in other areas, and visitors are advised to wear shoes when entering the water. Adding insult to injury, some of the nearby hotels have been known to dump their wastewater directly into the streets, which are often left open due to regulations. If your idea of a perfect day involves lounging by a pool, then this location may be suitable for you. However, if you are seeking a true beach experience, you will need to look elsewhere. The nearby bridge is not worth the trip, and the main street lacks pedestrian walkways. Unfortunately, the lack of reliable information and images online may lead to wasted time and disappointment.

The family who owns this restaurant makes everything from scratch. The food is absolutely delicious and always fresh, which I really appreciate. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out this place!
