There is only a limited area on the beach for people who are not staying at the larger hotels (all the other umbrellas are reserved for hotel guests). The beach itself is not particularly clean, and the water in the sea is decent. However, there are far superior beaches on the island!

Paralia Argasi

To be clear, this location lacks a traditional beach, as there is no paralia to be found. Instead, the shoreline is lined with hotels, which are situated so close to the water that they are unable to offer their guests beachfront access. As a result, many of these establishments have constructed pools for their patrons to enjoy. Unfortunately, access to these pools is often restricted to hotel guests only, leaving non-guests with limited options for aquatic relaxation. For those who do manage to access the small stretch of rock and sand that passes for a beach here, the experience is less than ideal. The water is noticeably saltier than in other areas, and visitors are advised to wear shoes when entering the water. Adding insult to injury, some of the nearby hotels have been known to dump their wastewater directly into the streets, which are often left open due to regulations. If your idea of a perfect day involves lounging by a pool, then this location may be suitable for you. However, if you are seeking a true beach experience, you will need to look elsewhere. The nearby bridge is not worth the trip, and the main street lacks pedestrian walkways. Unfortunately, the lack of reliable information and images online may lead to wasted time and disappointment.
