The crystal-clear and tranquil waters of the beach were a delightful surprise. However, it's advisable to steer clear of visiting in August due to the high influx of campers.

Agiofarango beach

This is a stunning destination that should not be missed when visiting Crete. The natural surroundings are rugged and untamed, adding to the allure of the location. The combination of the gorge and beach make for a truly unforgettable experience.

Psili Ammos beach
10 Spiridoula Spira Gya Charova

This serene beach is a hidden gem, far from the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds. It's an idyllic spot for camping, with only locals in sight. The crystal-clear water here is simply breathtaking and will leave you in awe.

Dyskos beach
10 Saros Katsaros.

The beach is a stunning sight with its rocky terrain on the right and sandy/gravelly surface on the left. However, the presence of numerous free campers has somewhat marred the pristine beauty of this place, rendering it somewhat overcrowded and not as tidy as one would expect.

Stena beach

This beach is a fascinating spot for those who enjoy small-scale freediving. With water depths ranging from 10-15 meters on both sides of the shore, there is plenty to explore. The west side boasts a rock arch and a vertical cliff that can be explored underwater, while the east side features an inclined, cracked rock plateau on the sea bottom. The island is also within close proximity, providing a stunning backdrop to your underwater adventures. Despite the trashy gravel road leading to Kali Limenes, the beach remains a popular camping spot for those seeking a unique experience away from mainstream tourism. The visibility is excellent, making it an ideal spot for underwater photography. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it to fellow freedivers.

This beach is nestled between rocky hills that lead down from the mountain. Accessible by any rental car, the road leading to the beach is entirely concrete. The beach has a small village feel, complete with shops, markets, and tavernas that offer stunning panoramic views of the area. A free car park is available at the village entrance, and while loungers are provided for free, they may be difficult to find due to the beach's small size. The water is pleasant, but not shallow, making it less suitable for young children unless they are supervised closely or know how to swim.
