Maleme - all beaches

The beach is well-maintained and offers all the amenities one could need. The shoreline is mostly sandy and has a gradual slope into the water, making it easy to enter. During peak season, the water is pleasantly warm. However, if the wind picks up from the north, the waves can become quite challenging.

This beach is absolutely incredible, located at a sufficient distance from the city and boasting pristine waters and breathtaking surroundings. Notably, the beach is adorned with rare white tulips and serves as a nesting ground for turtles to lay their eggs. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable destination!

This particular beach in Crete may not be the most visually stunning, with its dark and murky waters. However, it still holds a certain charm for those who are seeking a different kind of beach experience. It's a place for those who have already explored the more picturesque beaches and are looking for something new and unique.

To put it simply, this beach is never too crowded and has a wide expanse of pebbles. The water is deep and a bit dirty, with high waves. Strangely enough, it also has the warmest water compared to other beaches I've visited on this island.

What a delightful location! Not only frequented by tourists, but also by the locals. The crystal-clear waters are a sight to behold. The atmosphere is very relaxed and easy-going. As the sun sets, a large tree provides a lovely shade. There is a charming little bar that offers refreshing drinks and authentic local cuisine. The children had a blast jumping off the rocks into the refreshing water.
