Karavostasi Beach

We visited this beach in August and found it to be small but well-equipped. It's best to arrive in the morning to secure a spot. The sea is absolutely stunning, and you can easily spend hours snorkeling. Additionally, the tavernas serve delicious food.

Bali Beach

What a splendid spot to soak up the sun and savor the sights! The eateries here offer panoramic vistas that are simply divine. It's a feast for the eyes and the belly.

Livadi Beach

The beach is beautiful with soft sand and enjoyable waves. There are plenty of options for food and drinks nearby, attracting a lot of people. If you want to rent a sun bed and umbrella, it will cost you 8 euros.

Varkotopos

The beach is quite small and there are an excessive number of sunbeds. By 10:30, it was already overcrowded. Although the water appears crystal clear in the photos, it is actually quite muddy. The staff at the beach bars is friendly and the service is satisfactory, but not exceptional. Overall, Bali and Varkotopos are somewhat overhyped and failed to meet expectations, particularly when considering other options available in Crete.

Aliki beach

The beach is absolutely amazing and resembles a swimming pool, especially when the weather is nice and there's no wind. The water is clean and refreshing. If you're looking to steer clear of the overpopulated beaches in North Crete, this one is an excellent option. Additionally, there's a great bar and restaurant nearby where you can grab a cold drink or enjoy a tasty lunch.

Today I ventured out to the beach, but unfortunately, my efforts were thwarted as the gate adjacent to the parking lot was locked. Despite my eagerness to explore the stunning seaside, my journey of one hour proved to be fruitless.
