This seaside spot offers a tranquil atmosphere and is not as packed as Alleppey beach. Our visit took place on December 31st, 2013. The beach is impeccably cared for and boasts pristine white sand, gentle waves, and stunning sunsets. Facilities such as washrooms and parking are provided. However, the dining choices were somewhat restricted. Instead of shacks, they offer chairs and umbrellas for relaxation.
While traveling from Trivandrum to Irinjalakuda, we decided to take the scenic route along NH66 after turning off at Alappuzha Bypass. We thoroughly enjoyed the journey, especially when we stumbled upon Ottamassery Beach near Ernakulam. This hidden gem felt like our own private paradise, with only a few fishermen and ourselves on the beach. The abandoned boats added to the charm of the pristine white sand, which was incredibly soft. The calm waters made for a relaxing stroll along the shore, almost dipping our toes in the water. A definite must-visit for beach lovers.
