  • The region's beaches are mainly narrow, very short and have a medium level of cleanliness. The most common surface is fine pebble of gray color.
  • Usually, entry into the water is gentle, which is very good for kids. There are 16 such beaches.
  • The average distance from the road to beach in Amalfi Coast is less than 500 meters. 12 beaches are relatively easy to access, and 6 beaches are only accessible from the water. The latter include both island beaches and beaches with no land routes due to the natural borders.

The beaches in Amalfi Coast are used mainly by beach clubs (resorts), usually open to everyone but for a fee. These establishments offer a full range of amenities with limited operational hours. At the same time, you can still find a wild beach, use our filter for this.

My husband and I visited this little cove via a small boat rental from Maiori and it was stunning! Very peaceful, calm and picturesque. Be careful though as there are quite a few jellyfish that float in, I was having a blissful dip and unfortunately got stung before I realized!

This beach is absolutely stunning! The first row offers two chairs and an umbrella for a reasonable price of 40€. Additionally, there is a convenient snack bar located right next to the beach where you can indulge in some delicious food and refreshing drinks. For a mere 5-10€, you can enjoy a scrumptious pizza or panini, while a beer or soda will only set you back 5€. It is highly recommended to bring water shoes, as the beach can be quite rocky.

The staff is very friendly and the location is great. It's not too crowded and during high season in August, it costs 30€ per person for a beach bed, umbrella, and wifi. Unfortunately, there are no free beaches unless you sit on the cliffs. The menu has a wide variety of options and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The only disappointment was the Piña colada. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The sea has a large shallow area where you can stand or venture out to deeper waters for a nice swim. Additionally, there is a lifeguard on duty to ensure safety.

The price for the amenities provided at the beach seems exorbitant. In my opinion, there are many other lidos that offer a superior experience. I personally have no plans to return and do not suggest it to others.

This beach near Cetara is stunning. It's easy to get to on foot and there's a bar nearby for convenience. Make sure to arrive early though, as the free beach is always packed!

The beach is free to access and has a gravelly texture, situated close to the port. However, the showers require a 50 cent fee and the parking lot charges 3 euros per hour.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 11 beaches in the region, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.

The hottest month of the region is August - air temperature during this time warms up to 28.5°C and water up to 27.3°C. The coldest month is January - air temperature drops to 12.2°C and water to 15.5°C.
