Baiae beach

The beach's location is not immediately visible from the main road, but this is actually a positive aspect as it means the area is not overrun with crowds. I discovered this hidden gem thanks to my brother and have visited it on weekdays, finding it to be quite enjoyable. Upon arrival, visitors pay for parking (5.00 euros), sunbeds (5 euros), and umbrellas (5 euros), with prices differing on weekends. The beach itself is a narrow strip of sand that is small yet impeccably maintained. A shower is available, and lifeguards ensure that everything is in order. For those seeking a quieter spot, there is another beach nearby that is composed of pebbles and sand, but it is less frequented due to the discomfort of the stones. However, the sea is much cleaner and more beautiful there. The water is green and sandy, though boats can be seen nearby. This is to be expected given the beach's proximity to a boathouse. As someone from Naples, I found the beach to be easily accessible via the ring road, taking just 20 minutes without traffic. Overall, while the beach may not boast the highest quality sea, it is still a place I would happily return to.

Spiaggia delle Monache

This charming cove is a haven of tranquility, offering a safe haven for children to frolic in the calm waters and providing ample depth for adults to take a refreshing swim. With easy access to the vast expanse of the open sea, this beach is a true gem. I highly suggest seeking refuge under the shade of the restaurant, where you can indulge in delectable cuisine that is on par with the bar's offerings (and prices). When arriving, be sure to keep an eye out for the entrance that faces the opposite direction of the sea.

Spiaggia di via Calastro

Upon my arrival at 4:30 pm, I inquired about a spot and was met with reluctance from the owner who informed me that they were closing in two hours. Despite needing to wait for a friend, I wished to stay and was charged 15 euros for a spot. The owner's poor manners left me feeling as if I was a burden and I couldn't help but feel that she may treat locals with more respect. Overall, my experience left me feeling mistreated.

This spot is perfect for unwinding! It's a two-story local building with stilt houses and a private beach, which gives off a one-of-a-kind vibe. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the prices are reasonable. We definitely plan on returning!

Spiaggia di via Nisida

Unfortunately, despite its beauty, this beach is not ideal for prolonged stays due to the risk of landslides under the ridge. Additionally, the beach is not well-maintained and the water is only occasionally clear.

The staff at this beach were exceptional, and the cuisine was delectable. It's worth noting that seashoes are highly recommended for navigating the rocky terrain.
