We brought along three umbrellas, three sunbeds, and three deck chairs for our day at the beach. After enjoying breakfast at Lido Conchiglia, we purchased some beers and settled in at a table to play a game of burraco. However, to our surprise, we were told that we couldn't play cards at the table without any explanation. It was only noon and the tables were empty, yet we were made to feel unwelcome despite having paid 70 euros. We left feeling mistreated and would not recommend Lido Conchiglia to others.

During our cycling trip along the western coast of Italy, we stumbled upon Camping Azzurro and were pleasantly surprised. Despite many campgrounds being closed during the low season, Camping Azzurro welcomed us with open arms and provided us with shelter from the strong winds blowing off the Mediterranean. The campground was clean and we were even given our own personal bathroom with running water. Additionally, coffee and morning treats were available for purchase. The owners were accommodating and happy to guide us in our further travels. All in all, it was a great addition to our trip and we thank them for the wonderful memory.

The shoreline is efficiently arranged, providing recreational spaces suitable for all ages. However, the distance between each umbrella is quite limited. The dining establishment serves delectable dishes, including mouth-watering pizzas. The personnel are friendly, but their organization skills could use some improvement. The chambers are cozy, although they lack proper air conditioning.

While camping amidst a vast pine forest, I discovered a serene and invigorating environment. What sets this place apart is the black sand, a result of the ancient extinct volcano of Roccamonfina. A dip in the sea felt like a direct immersion into the forest, an experience that was truly remarkable. The camping prices were quite reasonable and the managers were courteous and efficient. I would have given this place a perfect 5-star rating, but unfortunately the municipality has neglected to maintain basic infrastructure such as roads, signs, and upkeep of the Garigliano river delta.
