About Rome

At first glance, the diversity of the beaches of the Rome does not have a prominent distinctive feature. There is no clear predominance of mountain landscapes or crystal sea, on the contrary, everything seems balanced. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the flow of tourists continues to grow from year to year.

I appreciate the fact that the water is not too deep, making it a safe environment for children. The designated safe zone is quite spacious.

Ostia beach

We booked an apartment through Ostia Holiday, and they provided a complimentary shuttle service to and from this stunning beach. The beach is free to access and has affordable prices compared to nearby establishments. They also offer a range of services like yoga classes, fitness facilities, and a convenient delivery service where you can order from the bar while lounging. I will definitely return! Highly recommended!

Vigna di valle
8 Lorenzo Marcelli

The beach in Anguillara has the highest number of bathing establishments. It is well-maintained and kept clean. Additionally, there are ample paid parking spaces available since parking on the road is not allowed. When there is no north wind, the water is exceptionally clean. What makes this beach even more appealing is its shallow depth of nearly 100 meters, making it a perfect paradise for children. Moreover, there are numerous clubs and bars catering to various preferences and needs.

Sabbie Nere St Severa
10 Rashid Alhadi

This coastal spot is a straightforward destination favored by the locals, boasting an exceptional shoreline made up of black sand. It's advisable to bring your own gear to make the most of your visit. Additionally, there's a delightful small-scale buffet available at the parking area.

Lido delle Sirene

Whilst staying in Rome, my companions and I were eager to spend a day basking in the sun by the seaside. Our search led us to this idyllic beach, which proved to be the perfect choice. The journey was hassle-free, with a direct train from Roma termini to the beach. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a pristine shoreline with white sand and crystal-clear waters. The beach was not overly crowded, affording us ample space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff at the seaside café were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the day. It's worth noting that the sand can become quite hot, so we recommend wearing slippers. One of the standout features of this beach is the presence of underwater dunes, which make it safe for children and non-swimmers. The water gradually deepens, allowing for a gradual and comfortable transition. Additionally, the beach is patrolled by a hired lifeguard, giving us peace of mind. We opted for sunbeds and an umbrella, which cost us a reasonable 25 euros in total. Shower facilities were available for a nominal fee of 20 cents per person, and the changing rooms were free of charge. Overall, our experience at this beach was incredibly pleasant. It was the perfect day trip from Rome, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing day by the sea.

The service provided at the beach was disappointing and lacked organization.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 40 beaches in the region, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
